SRAM athletes raged in a weekend chocked full of racing with medals to prove it during the Crankworx opening weekend in Whistler, BC, Canada. Jérôme Clementz and Curtis Keene tore through a roster of seasoned athletes during the Canadian Open Enduro under bright and sunny BC skies. With unlimited visibility atop the final stage, Clementz and Keene throttled it to the finish 5000 feet below to Whistler Village earning first and second for the day.
The Avid Dual Speed and Style followed as racers pinned it through a bermed dual slalom course combined with slopestyle jumps. Kyle Strait did not disappoint as he aired himself to a third place finish.
BC native Stevie Smith took it home in the Garbanzo Downhill Sunday evening on a dry, dusty, and incredibly fast course. Stevie sped though the course connected by a network of familiar trails to win the gold medal and local hero title.
