[FHN] Ipoh Century Ride 2010 – 1.8.2010 – Part I

[FHN = First Hand News] Yes we were there at Bukit Kinding Resort, witnessing the event!

The 160km-ride kicked off at 7 early in the morning and us, the we have never been more geared up at such an early time of the day!

And, we cannot agree more that this ride is a test to a biker’s determination and perseverance and tolerance to sweaty jerseys…………….. *oops*! Each bike is tagged with a meter to time these bikers as they challenge themselves as they armor themselves with the best looking helmet, shades and TIGHT fitting shorts.

The organizer – KRI Cycling has done a good job arranging for good sponsors and support teams to lead the bikers, make way, guard traffic and most importantly to mention again, good sponsors. Garnering support from the prime cycling aids, this event started off looking perfect.

We love the moment when the cyclists were unleashed at the starting point: The looks on their faces, the fresh drips on the faces, the urge to sprint, the deep breathing and the suave poses for the cameras (yes, we notice some of you forcing out the triceps when the cameras are pointing). =D

As the cue sounds, Century Ride cyclists cycled like they flew, aiming at a common goal; each challenging its body and mind to overtake what is within them, each running a race with themselves.
