Ride of Silence: Penang Edition

Last night when Kuala Lumpur was having its own, the second biggest city in Malaysia – Penang joins the global hype together with 350 enthusiastic cyclists despite the rain.

The Ride of Silence is a global event to commemorate fallen cyclists. G Club Penang Cyclists, the event organizers flagged off the ride from Esplanade, Penang.

Participants proudly donning the official T-shirt proclaiming the need to “Share Our Road” while cycling on the very streets of Penang. Each properly equipped with helmets and lights, the cyclists were reminded to obey the traffic rules.

The 10km ride ended at Paragon, Gurney Drive. Mission accomplished for the night and we hope the message gets across nationwide!
